1. Onion production in India

The bulletin was first published in 1993 and reprinted in 1999. It contains information on improved production technology of onion right from description of varieties, agro-techniques, post harvest management, seed production, plant protection and preservation.

The bulletin was first published in 1994 and revised edition was printed in 2008. It contains information on improved production technology of onion right from description of varieties, agro-techniques, post harvest management, seed production, plant protection and preservation.

 


3. Garlic cultivation in India

This bulletin was first published in the year 1994 and revised edition published in 1997. The book covers information on varieties, agro techniques, post harvest management, seed production, plant protection, physiological disorders and dehydration aspects in garlic.

 


4. Onion and garlic varieties

The NHRDF has till date developed 6 varieties each of onion and garlic for higher yield and good quality suitable for different seasons in the country. The publication contains colour photographs and brief description of the varieties developed by NHRDF for the benefit of farmers and others concerned.

 


5. Post harvest management of onion and garlic

Although technologies have been developed by NHRDF, DOGR, State Agriculture Universities as well as ICAR Institutes, these have not been suitably compiled and communicated to the users due to which the rate of adoption of post harvest technology is very low. Efforts have been made by the authors of this bulletin to compile the information with latest recommendations which could be useful to all concerned.



6. Nutrient deficiency and their management in onion and garlic

In the present bulletin, efforts are made to compile the information on nutrients deficiency symptoms with photographs, which will be useful to understand the symptoms and their management in onion and garlic crops. It will help the farmers, scientists, students, researchers to understand the problem and take corrective actions accordingly.

The bulletin contains the information on all the aspects of storage responsible for post harvest losses in onion and storage methods with photographs, which are useful to understand the technology and designs of storage structures to the farmers, traders,   exporters etc.

In this book an attempt has been made to compile all the available information on the diseases of onion and garlic in the form of compendium It contains illustrations on distribution, diagnostic characteristic, disease cycle and control measures of various diseases infecting the onion and garlic crops. It is supported by 34 coloured photographs for recognition of the symptoms. This compendium would be of immense help to growers, traders, exporters and others concerned.

 


9. Sabjiyon Mein Ekikrit Keat Avam Rog Prabbhandhan

The bulletin describes various components of integrated pest management. The diseases of important vegetable crops and their control measures based on above principles are discussed.
